Rewind, The 80’s Festival, Temple Island, Henley on Thames 19/21 August 2011~The Ultimate 80’s Experience

It feels almost impossible to describe the atmosphere of 80’s Rewind, it is something that has to be experienced, if you want to go back to the future this is the place to do it, some 40,000 people did exactly that and came to Henley on Thames to soak up the 1980’s experience to indulge in a a bygone era brought back to the stage of 2011 by the stars themselves, the musical extravaganza was capped off with fantastic firework displays on Saturday and Sunday evenings, if you want true indulgence then the VIP area is a laid back way to enjoy the festival.

The line up for 2011 with legends like Holly Johnson, Billy Ocean, Nik Kershaw, Howard Jones, Ali Campbell, Toyah (who wore orignal 80’s costume!), Kim Wilde, all surpassed our expectations, the whole weekends line up did not fail to deliver with fantastic performances from Go West, Bananarama, Village People, Haircut 100, Hue and Cry, ABC, Fiction Factory, The Human League, Earth, Wind & Fire Experience feat Al McKay, Average White Band and Candi Staton, some 24 stars from the 80’s performed and showcased classic hits from a memorable decade. The 80’s mania prevails and the revival will continue I am sure, there seems an insatiable desire to bring this iconic decade into our lives again, to relive the golden moments, to see our idols perform for us once again, it feels a privilege to witness and be part of this festival, it is something very unique and something so very special.
