Richard Brook

Richard Brook hails from bonnie Scotland and moved to London in 1995 to attend music college. Prior to this he was on the Scottish scene, playing at many balls for the local haggis hunt.

After leaving music college he was kindly asked back as a tutor where he stayed for 2 years.During this time a chance meeting with a member of the band Acoustic Alchemy led him to joining the band.

This led to extensive touring of the US and Europe including Hawaii and the St.Lucia Jazz Festival. He recorded "Live in St.Lucia" CD and DVD with the band.

After Acoustic Alchemy, Richard concentrated on the London Scene and worked with a variety of artists from pop to Jazz including Roger Daltrey, Girls Aloud, Victoria Beckham, Tot Taylor, Liberty X, Hall and Oats, "Rent", Avril Lavigne, The BBC, Mark Joseph,Rick Wakeman, Hatch Farm Studios, Geno Washington, Fugitive Production House, Boz Burrel, Tony Hadley, Patrizio Buanne, ABC (Martin Fry), Leo Sayer, Darius, Nick Heywood and The Sugar Babes. It was through meeting Deeral on the Victoria Beckham gig that Richard heard a vacancy had appeared in the Go West line up. With a recommendation from 'Snake Hips' himself, he got the job. Richard can also been seen with his new band Headspace with Adam Wakeman , who supported Ozzy Osbourne on tour in 2007. www.headspaceonline.com [http://www.gowest.org.uk]

"................I've been doing some shows with ABC and Martin Fry. An added bonus was having the luxury of an orchestra with us. Conducted by Anne Dudley (BBC concert Orchestra and MD of the last Bill Bailey tour), this was an amazing experience and a lot of pressure. I always had to remember to give Anne a bar count in so she could give a one bar count to the orchestra. Sounds simple but when there are 100 people on stage and a couple of thousand people watching there's no room for error!! A really fantastic experience. The kit was a new reference series and a whole host of electronics for some classic 80's sounds!......................
