Lily Gonzalez

Lily Gonzalez was born in the UK to Spanish parents, beginning her career in various original bands. She later moved into session work as a backing singer and percussionist, working with artists as diverse as Lucie Silvas, Bono, KT Tunstall, Paul Young and Dave Stewart. In 2004 Lily contributed additional percussion to the tracks "What Happens Tomorrow", "Finest Hour" and "Still Breathing", released on Duran Duran's Astronaut album. Throughout the years she has continually returned to her first love; writing and recording her own music, also keeping a keen interest in session work and working with as many artists as possible.

She has also co-written tracks with saxophonist Andy Hamilton, a well established session player who is also associated with Duran Duran. As a duo, they have a wide range of influences including Steely Dan, Sheryl Crow, Prince, Bonnie Raitt, K.D. Lang, David Bowie and Annie Lennox to name but a few.

In 2009 Lily performed during the Regeneration Tour, as a backing vocalist/percussionist for ABC and Belinda Carlisle.

Lily’s style from her most recent songs add modern attitude, while being reminiscent of old-school jazz/funk. Her voice ranges from offering an attitude of power through tracks like "Too High" and "More to Me Than Meets the Eye", to a hint of soft vulnerability as she sings "What You Are".(Wikipedia)
