Andy Carr

Andy Carr is a versatile bass player who has worked with a wide range of international touring and recording artists throughout his career. His first break came when he was asked to play on Bruce Dickinson's (Iron Maiden) first solo album 'Tattooed Millionaire'. This was followed by an extensive world tour. Since then he has performed with Shakespeare's Sister, Witness (Ex Hipsway), Niagara (France), Toby Bourke (Feat: George Michael), William Bell (USA), Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet), ABC, Go West, Deccatree (USA), Mark Read (Ex A1), Carol Decker (T'Pau) and Brenda Edwards. Andy recently played on the new ABC album called Traffic, produced by Gary Langan. He was on the road with ABC in 2008 around the UK on the Steel City tour and also performed with them in April 2009 at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the 27th anniversary performance of the Lexicon Of Love album, with the BBC Concert orchestra. His bass playing can also be heard on the latest UK top 10 Jane McDonald album 'Jane' produced by Gary Stevenson. Andy has been "using Warwick amplification exclusively for a few years now," he says. "While I was on the Regeneration tour I did one gig using the house rig to give the crew a break and it was an SVT and an 8 x 10 cab... It sounded good.. but I was really happy to get back to the Warwick rig as it was so much more responsive... I never thought I'd say that.. but it's true." (© http://www.warwick.de)
